Fellow Campers,

This note is a reminder that Saturday, January 16th beginning at 9 AM is the time to come help pickup the wreaths at the Dallas National Cemetery. We will need everyone's help that can be there to make it go smoothly and quickly. Last year we removed 44,000 wreaths in two hours. This year there are only 37000 wreaths to remove Bring your broom sticks (without the broom), water, gloves, and wagons if you've used them before. We will plan to meet at our Sections 12 and 13 to clean up our two areas and then help other areas as needed. If you have a pickup truck please drive it to help move the wreaths up to the dumpsters.

This year to coincide with the Annual Wreath Removal Chris Bush informed me that they will be having a FOOD DRIVE sponsored by Flags for Fallen Vets to support our local communities. 2020 has been a difficult year for many with a great amount of our community needing basic food supplies, some for the 1st time ever. Contained below is a listing of the items they are in need of. They will have a drop off place at the entrance to the cemetery from what I understand. Please help if you can with the following items:

Canned Fruit or juice

Canned meats

Cereal

Canned pork and beans

Canned spaghetti sauce

Canned tomatoes

Canned vegetables

Dried beans

Macaroni and Cheese

Pasta

Peanut butter

Powdered milk

Soup

Tuna

Rice
